I am Cassandra Heiduck – a self-employed small business owner and Master’s student in Industrial Engineering.

My professional career has already taken me through various areas such as procurement, supply chain management, and order processing in several internationally operating corporations as well as medium-sized companies in the automotive and electrical engineering sectors. Working across these different departments has taught me to structure processes precisely, communicate efficiently, and approach challenges with solution-oriented thinking.

During this time, I was also entrusted with significant responsibility early on — including independently managing the entire spare parts business of an automotive supplier in the United States during my internship, due to special circumstances. This role involved international customer communication, offer management, supplier coordination, and operational organization.

Through this work, I was able not only to build many valuable connections with international customers and suppliers but also to gain deep insights into global procurement and sales structures. Today, I additionally manage my own product category in an electrical engineering company, independently overseeing everything from supplier communication to master data maintenance.

This broad range of experience has provided me with a strong understanding of different business areas and organizational structures, as well as meaningful interactions with a wide variety of stakeholders, decision-makers, suppliers, and customers. It has shown me how differently organizations operate — and where support is truly needed in daily operations.

What has shaped me most, however, is my international experience in the United States — both through an extensive internship and through my semester and year abroad. During this time, I deepened my expertise in procurement and sales, while also developing intercultural competence, independence, and a strong understanding of international business processes.

Today, I want to use this knowledge to support small businesses flexibly and to continue expanding my network and perspective.
